Day 1

Arrive in Jakarta

A comprehensive exploration of Indonesia in a 150-hectare garden. See the tribal houses from all 26 provinces (year 1975) of Indonesia, showcasing tradition and culture in their actual settings. Visit the Museum Indonesia to explore exhibitions of traditional costumes, household utensils, and the finest handicrafts of the country.

Day 2

Morning “Old & New” Jakarta tour

Highlights include the National Museum, the National Monument on Medan Merdeka, Istiqlal Mosque, the Presidential Palace, Glodok China-town, Old Batavia, Sunda Kelapa old harbor and fish market, the old Portuguese Church, and the fascinating Pasar Seni art market at Ancol Park.

Day 3

Jakarta – In the Evening Tour

Drive to Ancol Dreamland Park for an Indonesian dinner at Putri Duyung Restaurant. Then by ‘Sado,’ a horse-drawn cart, to Pasar Seni to see the artists and craftsmen at work in their studios. Watch traditional dances and plays at the open-air stage. Or, drive to Bharta Theatre for a wayang wong play.
